Shortly into our dating journey, my wife Amy, shared that she has a rare medical condition that made it unclear if she would be able to conceive or carry children to term. My response to her shared my perspective and comfort with the fact that there are no guarantees in life including if we would one day be able to have children. We both had peace about this reality but deeply desired to have children someday.
A year into our marriage, Amy was waiting on our porch steps for me after I returned from a trip to share the news that she was miraculously pregnant. We thankfully went on to have an uncomplicated pregnancy and delivered a miracle baby girl a week before the world shutdown due to Covid. Being her parents is truly a joy and delight and we treasure each day recognizing the miracle and gift of her life. We believe all children are miracles and desire to be a small part in helping others on their parenting journeys.
